WE HELP TO THE VULNERABLE GROUPS

Palilula Municipality is realizing project “Strengthening of Municipal capacity to improve the quality of life for socially vulnerable groups”, which is financed by European Union, through Standing Conference of Towns of Serbia, within program EXCHANGE 3. This week multidisciplinary mobile teams will help socially vulnerable, old and infirm persons, children in urban and rural settlements of Palilula Municipality, disabled and elderly that are immobile and dependent on other` help.

On the territory of our Municipality it is registered 1.125 socially vulnerable persons with difficulties. That is persons who cant take care of themselves, persons who is immobile, weak and dependent of other people` help. “From 5.061 people who are older then 70 years, 487 is from some of  16 villages of Palilula Municipality, highlights Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, president of City Municipality of Palilula. In cooperation with our partners on the project, Center of Social Work “Saint Sava” in Nis and Bulgarian Municipality Kustendil, we expect that during the project significantly improve quality of life of socially vulnerable groups in our community.

According to manager of the project Milos Stojadinovic, socially-vulnerable residents of Palilula can get necessary information about using of free services of mobile teams of project on phone number 018/244-587 or in local offices according to published schedule (Rasadnik, Palilula, G. Medjurovo, Bubanj, Lalinac)from Monday to Friday from 09am to 2pm. Services includes medical help of vulnerable groups, control of blood pressure and blood sugar, provision of medical advisory assistance, psychosocial assistance and support, legal assistance.
